Seasonal Weather Patterns

1Summer (June-August)
Summer brings cool fog and temperatures rarely above 70°F (21°C).
Karl the Fog is most persistent during summer months.
2Fall (September-November)
Warmest months with least fog, often called "Indian Summer".
September and October typically see the highest temperatures.
3Winter (December-February)
Rainy season with mild temperatures around 50-60°F (10-15°C).
Snow is extremely rare in the city.
4Spring (March-May)
Variable weather with alternating sunny days and spring showers.
Wildflowers bloom in surrounding areas during spring.
Pro Tip: The "Fog Belt" affects western neighborhoods more than eastern areas. Check microclimate forecasts for specific locations.

Warmer and sunnier than western neighborhoods.
Often 10°F (5°C) warmer than Sunset District.

Foggiest areas with cool ocean influence.
